7. As summer gets gradually warmer, nice clematis can be used to wander over the shrubs, such as forsythia. Later in the summer some annuals such as Nicotiana can be used are ideal to cover those gaps between shrubs
8. The summer season is also the ideal period for sitting in your garden and doing nothing so a perhaps a new suite of garden furniture will encourage you to sit and admire the hard work you’ve put in this year

10. Make your barbeque semi permanent by simply covering it with a water-proof cover. The sight of it will inspire you to use it more
