We’ve posted up a lot of things on home improvements well now it’s time for the garden. To assist in creating and enjoying the perfect summer garden here are some gardening tips for your consideration if you’re stuck for ideas:

3. Never water when the sun is at its height during the day. Water when the sun has gone down so that it doesn’t all evaporated into the warm atmosphere. The cooler it is the better allowing the water to seep into the earth during the nigh
4. If you have a little garden that can be watered with a watering can then a good (environmentally friendly) idea is having a water butt. This is a big container which collects rain and drainage water in the preceding months
5. The source of the best gardening tips is the Royal Horticultural Society, they are suggesting that you plant peonies, delphiniums and lupins, as well as roses alongside deutzias, and mallows and philadelphus in a shrub bed in order to effect a really nice and impressive show
6. If you want a few bits of extra colour think about some hanging baskets. Make sure the baskets are big enough for the plant and that you give them plenty of sun
7. As summer gets gradually warmer, nice clematis can be used to wander over the shrubs, such as forsythia. Later in the summer some annuals such as Nicotiana can be used are ideal to cover those gaps between shrubs
8. The summer season is also the ideal period for sitting in your garden and doing nothing so a perhaps a new suite of garden furniture will encourage you to sit and admire the hard work you’ve put in this year
9. To take this a bit further how about a bit of alfresco dining. Your garden shouldn’t all be about work, so whether you have a small balcony, roof terrace, patio or garden, a Garden Party will inspire a host of decorative furniture and accessories which are guaranteed to turn any plain plot into a beautiful sunshine setting
10. Make your barbeque semi permanent by simply covering it with a water-proof cover. The sight of it will inspire you to use it more
